I live on the water in a small town nestled between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. I’m a wife to my hubby Sean, a mother to Anniston, and stepmother to Ethan.
Six months after having my daughter and quitting my corporate job, I decided I needed something more in my life. I started writing, which then developed into a blog that was centered on the truth behind motherhood—it was called The Mother Effin Truth!
The truth is, blogging was not only a blessing for me but it also brought together so many mothers who needed a place to vent and feel at home.
I’m an entrepreneur at heart. I owned a shoe store at 25, tried my hand at wedding planning, and recently had an online clothing store. I’m always up to something new.
This website is my newest endeavor—one that I’ve been eager to dive into for a while now—so I’m thrilled that you’re here! I’m an open book who loves sharing all the things and I can’t wait for you to come along and discover it all with me.
Things to note…
- I live and breathe sharing my favorite finds and home projects. I love scoring a deal at the local flea market or the nearest TJ Maxx or Homegoods.
- I just recently remodeled my house and for years my husband and I have flipped and redone houses. My love for design runs deep and my eye is always looking for the latest piece of furniture or how I can cozy up a room.
- I’m always cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. I love creating healthy dishes for my family and sharing the recipes with all of you. About five years ago I was diagnosed with celiac disease, so I live a gluten-free lifestyle.
